MG 1/100 Hyaku-Shiki Ver. 2.0

After stripping off the original gold plating (from the last WIP update), I added few panel lines and that was basically what I did in terms of modding. Bandai did a great job redefining the old Hyaku-Shiki kit by improving its much outdated body proportions. Now, the new version looks sharper and more aggressive. I hope they do more with the rest of Z Gundam line.
The Alcald gold paints were used for its armor.
Please enjoy!

MG 1/100 Hyaku-Shiki Ver. 2.0 (Work in Progress)

The version 2.0 of the MG Hyaku-Shiki was finally released.
First of all, the kit itself comes in a semi-gloss gold coating (or painting, whichever makes sense). To my very surprise, the quality of the factory gold was very good, and it actually looked much better than those old super gloss gold coatings.
I decided to remove all the existing gold coating and paint it with my favorite metallic gold from Alclad. As much as I appreciate Bandai's new semi-gloss gold, it just does not compare with the quality of the custom painted gold.
I cut all the gold pieces from the runners, sanded & polished them, and put them under Clorox bleach for 3-4 days. Most of the painting was dissolved gradually except from few small deep areas. I managed to remove remaining layer of coating completely from those areas with T-01m thinner from Gaia color.

RE 1/100 GP-04G Gerbera

The popularity of GP04 has always been there, but we were only able to work on this model through a resin or a bootleg kit in the past.
Bandai has finally released it under their own brand name, and I had to put my hands on to see how it really was.
I could tell many detail parts were not separated in pieces, probably in order to keep the manufacturing costs down (unlike 1/100 Master Grades, RE grades are cheaper lines of 1/100 scale).
The overall design and proportion were great even compare to MG, but there were some minor issues that I had to modify.
First, I added 2 mm more to the torso for better proportion.
Second, I extended the feet unit 3 mm longer and made it sharper.
I know Bandai has produced the kit based on their original design, but I liked the longer and sharper designs that the old resin kits offered. It just makes the kit look lot more aggressive.
I erased the factory panel lines on the thigh units and designed my own, and added additional lines on different areas for more details.
Anyhow, here it is. Please enjoy.

MG 1/100 FA-78-1 Full Armor Gundam

FA Gundam only exists in concept.
Many variations of RX-78 have been introduced in past years,
and the full armored ground version has always been one of the most popular ones.

The original kit comes entirely in green except few areas such as arms,
and I tried to change its color scheme to resemble more like Amuro Ray's original suit.
I mixed the green in two tones and the rest are pretty much the usual multi tone grey I like to use.
Enjoy.

PG RX-0 Unicorn Gundam Ver. PrimaryMH

The main focus of the design on this build was to make distinction

from the original Unicorn Gundam which has single white tone color.

I often felt that single tone color scheme was bit too boring.

I gave new panel lines for deeper details and separated the color into white and two toned grey.

I tried to keep the colors as subtle as possible in order for people to

still recognize it as the original Unicorn Gundam.

Enjoy.

FA-93HWS Nu Gundam Ver. Ka

The kit I worked on this time was the combination of MG 1/100 Nu Gundam Ver, Ka and the newly released HWS expansion set for the Hi-Nu version.
As far as I know, the HWS concept was originally meant for the Nu Gundam but never made it to the production, and thus I decided to build one for the original Nu instead of the new Hi-Nu kit.
Because of the size of Nu Ver. Ka, I realized the expansion set actually goes much better than with relatively shorter and smaller Hi-Nu, which was a good thing.
I extended the torso area for another 3mm, and also did several modification for the installation.
Due to rather minimal detail of the armors on the set, I added panel lines and separated the colors in three tones of grey.
Thank you and enjoy.

Ez-8 "Burst"

Teram Nexus Operation Accord-
It has been a year since we formed a global team of Gunpla builders under name of Team Nexus.
We have been widely successful in terms of gaining audiences throughout different continents,
and also have tried to do the best in our parts to give motivation and inspiration on building Gunpla to those people in this amazing hobby.
To celebrate our 1 yr anniversary,
we decided to bring a group build of using the same kit (HGUC Ez-8) with each member's own taste of modification.
All of our 7 builds can be found in our official website http://www.nxsworx.info/ and also on two major Gunpla sites http://www.gundamkitscollection.com/ and http://www.gunplamodify.info/
I named my version of Ez-8 "Burst", and as its name already explains that it is heavy armament assault type unit with distinct color choice of famous "Test Type".
Hope everyone enjoys it, and also don't forget to go check out our talented members' works as well.
